SUBJECT: Sources Sought for DoD Official Bus Travel at USAF Heritage of America Band (ACC/BA(L)l
1. Purpose:
This is NOT a solicitation. This memorandum functions as a Sources Sought notice to identify potential suppliers that can provide information on commercial products and services, prepared in accordance with the format specified in Subpart 12.6, along with additional information provided in this notice.
The 633rd Contracting Squadron at Langley AFB intends to award a firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract to a small business, following the guidelines set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulation 13 and the specific requirements detailed in this request and the attached Statement of Work (SOW).
2. Background: The United States Air Force Heritage of America Band has identified the need to obtain Department of Defense approved travel services to support personnel involved in official travel activities. To facilitate the transportation of band members, their luggage, and musical instruments during this period, there is a requirement for a rental commercial coach bus or inter-city motor coach. The designated travel dates are from December 8 to December 15, 2024, encompassing all official movements related to Temporary Duty Travel (TDY). This transportation will ensure that personnel can travel efficiently and safely while carrying out their official responsibilities.
3. Requirement Description
The contractor is responsible for providing all transportation during the TDY assignment from December 8 to December 15, 2024. The chosen mode of transport will be either a coach bus or an inter-city motor coach, which must have a capacity of 56 passengers, include a working restroom, and feature spacious luggage bays beneath the passenger cabin. The driver of the vehicle will be accommodated at the same hotel as the USAF Heritage of America Band, with costs covered by the band. Additionally, the vehicle must be turned on, heated, and ready for passenger boarding at least 30 minutes before each scheduled departure.
4. Anticipated Procurement Approach:
The procurement strategy is expected to be a competitive set-aside for small businesses, with an emphasis on compliance and pricing
