RE: ADDENDUM #3 - BID NO. 20260494 - BURNT STORE WATER FILTRATION TRAINS REPLACEMENT
BID OPENING DATE: JULY 29, 2026, AT 2:00 p.m. (EST)
Bidders are hereby notified that this Addendum shall be made a part of the documents. The intent is to add to, modify, or clarify
the documents. Should any of these items have an effect on price, such changes shall be included in the price bid. These items
have the same force and effect as if contained in the original.
ITEM 1: BID DUE DATE EXTENSION:
RESCHEDULED DUE DATE IS HEREBY CHANGED TO JULY 29, 2026 AT 2:00PM (EST).
ITEM 2: QUESTION/ANSWER
Q1. Can both Trains A & B be offline at the same time or will the demo and install need to be done individually?
A1. Both trains can be out of service at the same time. Keep in mind that for the two (2) small trains, they connect to three (3)
fiberglass headers and will have to be addressed when demolition is in progress.
Q2. Since contractors must use equipment to accommodate the workspace, what is the height dimension from the floor
to the ceiling beams in the process room?
A2. The height above the feed pumps is 12ft, above front of the train is 13ft, and above the rear of the train is 11ft.
Q3. Is there a staging area available?
A3. There is an enclosed garage that can be made available for staging area, if needed.
Q4. Is there an allotted time for each Train to be completed?
A4. Utilities would like them to be completed as quickly as possible.
Q5. What happens with the membranes in the existing Trains?
A5. Contractor to keep two (2) membranes, handled with care, from each Train to 'autopsied'. The two (2) membranes from Train
B will need to be replaced with new. The remaining membranes in Train B are to be kept as they are only 6 months old.
Q6. Will there be performance testing and bacteriological testing? If so, who is responsible for completing them?
A6. Performance and bacteriological testing will be required. Both testing to be done by the contractor, observed by CCU.
This addendum is binding and is to be considered as if contained within the original bid documents of Bid No. 20260277. Bidders
