Bunten Road Park Improvement Project
Addendum #2 – Issued December 19, 2025
NEW DUE DATE – THURSDAY, JANUARY 22, 2026 11:00am
NEW DEADLINE FOR QUESTIONS – JANUARY 9, 2026 at 5:00p.
FINAL ADDENDUM TO BE POSTED – JANUARY 15, 2026.
The following was discussed at the pre-proposal conference on December 18, 2025:
1. Please make sure to download ALL plans sets. The civil set is separate from the
architectural set. The civil plans are labeled “Construction Plans” on the City’s
website. If you have any difficulty in accessing the plans or specs, please contact
Erin White at: erinwhite@columbia-engineering.com
2. Permits: The project has already been approved by Gwinnett County and the City of
Duluth. A land disturbance permit will be required from the City of Duluth to track
the project and keep up with erosion control inspections, however, there will be no
cost for this permit. A building permit will be required from the City of Duluth as
well, to allow the contractor to call in inspections as needed. There will be no cost
for this permit.
3. A request to delay the bid opening due to the holidays was made. While the City
cannot accommodate a 15-day delay, we are willing to extend the bid date to
Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 11:00am. Packages will be opened at 11:01a in the
same location as set forth in the original RFP. The deadline for questions will also be
shifted to Friday, January 9, 2026, at 5:00p. A final addendum will be posted no later
than January 15, 2026.
4. Reminder to review ALL notes in the plans. This project has some unique needs in
terms of tree care. An arborist is required as a subcontractor to determine the
amount of allowances to be used. Refer to the plans for more details.
5. City will be using United Consulting as a third-party materials testing and inspection
firm. Contractor will need to coordinate directly with United. The City will be billed
directly by United. (Note: as the City is billed every time the testing agency goes on
site, the contractor will be billed (payment deducted from pay applications) for any
false alarms – meaning you call them out and you are not ready, OR they have to
standby for more than 15 minutes while you get ready, OR you cancel too late to
avoid their billing us.)
6. For additional questions, please send them via email to:
erinwhite@columbia-engineering.com
This page summarizes the opportunity, including an overview and a preview of the attached documents.
