Building Inspection and Plans Examination Services

Project Description: Murray City is seeking qualified firms to provide on-call building inspection and plans examination services to support the City’s Building Division. Due to increased workload and staffing needs, the City intends to contract with one or more firms to perform residential, commercial, and industrial inspections.
Selected contractors will:
• Perform field inspections and document results daily
• Ensure compliance with State-adopted building codes
• Provide technical guidance to contractors and the public
• Use City-provided permitting software
This is a professional services contract based on hourly rates. The City will evaluate proposals based on qualifications, experience, past performance, responsiveness, and cost. Firms must hold required Utah DOPL certifications and have a minimum of three years of inspection experience.
