Building Grounds Maintenance - FY2025

Project Description: The City of Charlotte is seeking companies to provide grounds maintenance services for the Landscape Management Division for projects in various geographical areas as identified by the City. Selected companies shall provide all required planting materials, labor, equipment, and incidental supplies and materials. For some projects, plant material will be purchased by the City, as specified by the City’s project manager and corresponding City-issued task order form or project quote sheet.
The objective of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit Proposals that will enable the City to determine which Company(ies) will best meet the City’s needs for grounds maintenance services. The City is seeking firms whose combination of experience and expertise will provide timely and cost-effective services to the City. Services include, but are not limited to grounds maintenance; turf maintenance; shrub maintenance; groundcover maintenance; perennial maintenance; annual flower bed design, installation, and maintenance; trash and debris removal; storm debris pickup; irrigation operation, maintenance, and repair; Stormwater BMP maintenance; bio-retention and dry detention basin maintenance; and limited tree maintenance. One or more contractors will be selected to provide services.
Projects in these scopes of work include but are not limited to: Grounds Maintenance Services for CMPD Grounds District, Government District, East District, and West District. Please note, you may submit a proposal for any or all projects.
All work and materials shall be in accordance with, and shall conform to the requirements of the current edition of the City of Charlotte-Landscape Management Division’s Landscape Construction Standards Manual (LCM).
