Build-Ready Program RFP25-1
Description:

Description of goods to services to be bid:

NYSERDA’s Build-Ready Program advances renewable energy and energy storage projects on underutilized land, such as brownfields, landfills, and abandoned or existing commercial and industrial sites. Working with local partners and stakeholders, Build-Ready identifies and de-risks projects by carrying out design, engineering, environmental, permitting, and electric grid interconnection activities, as well as developing project host community benefit packages. The Build-Ready Program runs competitive solicitations to transfer projects to private developers for final design, financing, construction, ownership, and operation. While the Program has focused primarily on Large-Scale Renewable (LSR) projects, Build-Ready also has the authority to develop distributed generation (DG) projects. This RFP is for early development distributed generation (DG) projects. Awardees from this RFP will complete development, design and engineering, secure required interconnection and permitting approvals, state and federal incentives, and potentially finance, procure major equipment, construct, own and operate the Project(s) depending on the extent of proposed activities.

If changes are made to this solicitation notification will be posted on NYSERDA’s website at: www.nyserda.ny.gov/funding-opportunities

Eligibility/Qualifications Requirements/Preferences:

The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit Proposals to competitively select a(n) Awardee(s) for the Build-Ready Project(s) identified in this RFP. Projects will ultimately be transferred to Awardee(s) through a Membership Purchase Interest Agreement (MIPA) for the Awardee(s) to complete development, design and engineering including required interconnection and permitting approvals, secure financing and state and federal incentives, procure major equipment, construct, own and operate the Project(s).
