Build-Ready Program DG Request for Information

Description of goods to services to be bid:

The Build-Ready Program advances renewable energy projects on underutilized land, such as brownfields, landfills, and abandoned or existing commercial and industrial sites. Working with local partners and stakeholders, the Build-Ready Program identifies and de-risks projects by carrying out design, engineering, environmental, permitting, and electric grid interconnection activities as well as developing project host community benefit packages. The Build-Ready Program runs competitive solicitations to transfer projects to renewable energy developers for final design, financing, construction, ownership, and operation. While NYSERDA Build-Ready Program has focused primarily on large scale renewable (LSR) and bulk stand-alone battery energy storage system (BESS) projects, Build-Ready has operated opportunistically in the origination and early development of DG solar PV projects on Build-Ready site types.

Eligibility/Qualifications Requirements/Preferences:

The Build-Ready Program is issuing an RFI to gather feedback from solar PV developers, owners, operators, and investors to determine:

1. If there is interest in purchasing the portfolio of DG solar projects from NYSERDA via competitive request for proposal (RFP).
2. To determine far along should NYSERDA develop the projects prior to a competitive RFP.
3. The best way to structure a competitive RFP to transfer the projects.
