Brown School Site Improvements

Madison Public Schools (MPS) is seeking bids from qualified and experienced civil/site work contractors to construct various exterior site improvements at Robert H. Brown School (980 Durham Road, Madison, CT) to facilitate the school’s conversion from an Intermediate (grades 4-5) to an Elementary (Grades PreK-5) school. Improvements include expansion of an existing parking lot, constructing a dedicated drop-off area for Pre-K students, sidewalks leading to exterior classroom entrances/exits, site preparation and accessible walkways for a new PreK-K playscape area, grading/paving an existing crushed stone access driveway, and associated work.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 10:00AM in the Main Lobby Brown School, 980 Durham Road, Madison, CT 06443. Contractors are encouraged to attend the pre-bid conference, as this will be the only opportunity to view the jobsite and existing conditions.

Bids must be received in hard-copy format at the Facilities Department Main Office, 284 Green Hill Road, Madison, CT 06443 no later than 12:00 Noon on Monday, April 7, 2025, when/where all bids will be opened and bidder’s names and pricing will be publicly read aloud.
