LEGAL NOTICE

IFB No. 25-21

Sealed bids will be received at the Office of the Water/Sewer Business Manager, 16C Perry Way, Newburyport, MA 01950, by 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at which time and place they will be opened and read for the following:

IFB No. 25-21: Brown School Abatement & Demolition Project

Bids will be opened at the Water/Sewer Business Office located at 16C Perry Way, Newburyport, MA 01950. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening thereof.

The bidding and award of this contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L Chapter 149.

Contract award is subject to the approval of the Mayor. The City reserves the right to accept or reject, in whole or in part, any or all bids or take whatever other action may be deemed necessary to be in the best interest of the City.   Newburyport is an affirmative action/equal opportunity purchaser.

DCAMM Certification is required in DEMOLITION.

A pre-bid/site visit will be held at the project location, 42 Milk Street in Newburyport at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 12, 2025.

Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development and the weekly payroll record submittal requirements under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 through 27D inclusive.

Bid documents are available upon request after 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 16C Perry Way, Newburyport, MA 01950, and from the City’s website at www.newburyportma.gov/bids
