Broadband for Schoharie County/Transport Electronics

The County will be purchasing a new DWDM Transport System. This Transport System shall be capable of meeting the County requirements as required in the provided documents. This system is designed to support the deployment of both traditional and advanced communications services, adhering to all relevant standards. The County intends to implement a 100G DWDM service across eight (8) central offices or huts, organized into three (3) rings as illustrated in the accompanying network diagram.
The County intends this system to initially be capable of supporting a minimum of four (4) 100G wavelengths with the ability to scale up to 40 wavelengths. The initial system will only include one (1) activate 100G wavelength. This 100G service will facilitate the multiplexing of one (1) or more 10G services at each hut, enabling their transmission to subsequent huts within the ring. These 10G services will be utilized to establish connectivity between new FTTH access systems.
Each 100G ring will be terminated at the MIDTEL central office located in Middleburgh, NY. At this central office, the multiplexed 10G services will be demultiplexed and interfaced with an aggregation platform to provide subscriber access to services such as the Internet. All power supplies and shelf processors must be configured for resilience. Each traffic direction should utilize a dedicated line card to ensure connectivity remains stable in the event of a line card failure.
