Request for Proposals (RFP)

Solar and Battery Development for Onsite Energy Generation and Storage

877 Bridge Street, East Bridgewater, MA

The Town of East Bridgewater has issued a request for proposals to solicit pricing, qualifications, and project approaches for the installation (including all engineering, procurement, and construction) of a ground-mounted solar photovoltaic system and accompanying grid-connected energy storage system (“Systems”) on the closed Town landfill at 877 Bridge Street, East Bridgewater, Massachusetts 02333 along with associated activities for this project including a lease of the subject property. To be considered, a response must be received on or before November 20, 2024 at 4:00 pm. A non-mandatory, pre-submission meeting will be held on October 23, 2024 at 10am starting at the East Bridgewater Council on Aging, 355 Plymouth Street, East Bridgewater and will involve a tour of the site. Copies of the RFP are available on the Town’s web site at https://www.eastbridgewaterma.gov/bids - Interested parties should monitor the site for any addenda.

The Town has become aware that there was an advanced interconnection application date. The Town has taken responsibility for the filing of the application for interconnection. Changes can be made to the application provided other members in the Behind Active Study Group (Bridgewater 002 Group Study) consent. Once the bidder has been selected, the Town will work to transfer the application to the bidder. The Town will provide updates on the interconnection application as details become available. The new date for responses to the RFP will now be January 22, 2025. The Town will respond to all outstanding questions from bidders by January 8, 2025.

Update: The Town has extended the date as to when it will respond to all outstanding questions from January 8, 2025 to February 5, 2025. The Town had extended the date for responses from January 22, 2025 to February 19, 2025.
