Project Description: Notice is provided by the Township Secretary that sealed proposals will be received by the Township of Lower Merion for the following:
Bridge & Culvert Rehabilitation Phase II
Contract Number: 26-29-4237; 26-30-4237; 26-31-4237; 26-32-4237; 26-33-4237; 26-34-4237 (Multiple General Construction Contracts)
Sealed proposals shall be submitted online via the Pennbid Program (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com).
Proposals will be received until 11 am, prevailing time, Thursday, October 15, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty as specified in the Instructions to Bidders section of the Bid Document.
A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% are required. Also, a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 25% is required.
Bidders may obtain electronic copies of drawings and specifications of this project, at no cost, on the PennBid website noted above.

Scope of Work
The project is for bridge and culvert rehabilitation at six locations. The work includes, but is not limited to, masonry cleaning and selective repointing; selective concrete replacement; inlet opening modifications; concrete underpinning; stabilization using shotcrete; scour infill with rip rap; bank stabilization; guiderail modifications and stabilization; temporary erosion and sediment control measurers; temporary stormwater bypass; and site restoration. Award is planned for November 18, 2026 with Construction Notice to Proceed planned for January 2027 pending contract execution.
Detailed specifications developed by Pennoni Associates, Inc. Questions regarding the project scope shall be submitted via the “Messages” feature in PennBid. The last day for receipt of written questions is end of business day of Friday, October 2, 2026.
