Bridalwood Stream Design

The City of Gaithersburg is seeking to obtain professional engineering services to design, permit submittals, and prepare post construction monitoring plan for the Bridalwood dry pond retrofit project. This project involves the removal of approximately 190 linear ft. of concrete channel, and the removal of a dry pond. The area is located on City property at latitude 39.130961 N, and longitude 77.241414 W.

The purpose of this project is to improve water quality by transforming the area into a more natural stream and/or wetland complex while not effecting floodplain downstream. Removal of the concrete structure at the downstream (north) end of the project area that classifies this property as a dry pond should be considered.
