Project Description	Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, sealed bids for a lump sum contract are invited for the following work: The University plans to renovate rooms 78-099, 78-099A, 78-099B, 78-099C, 78-109, and 78-113, located on the seventh floor of the Brain Research Institute (BRI) building, to create a multiuse laboratory. The approximately 1,186 gsf (1,078 asf) space to be remodeled would include a wet lab, two behavioral rooms, an animal microscope room, a staff computer lab, and an administrative office to accommodate a new faculty member. Construction to be conducted during regular business hours in an occupied building. The scope of work includes interior demolition; new interior walls; new flooring, ceiling, and wall finishes; new duct work and electrical and plumbing systems to support the new program; and new lab and office furniture. Hazardous material abatement is required.
