NIBIN- compatible acquisition station. BrassTrax (or equal) is the search engine
that helps law enforcement agencies quickly find links between firearm related
incidents, capturing an image of the headstamp and allowing entry into the
Integrated Ballistic identification System (IBIS).
Specifications:
ACQUISITION TIME With an all-LED lighting system, single-orientation capture, and high-speed data transfer,
BrassTrax H4 (or equal) reduces acquisition time to support faster, high throughput workflows.
The 145-LED lighting structure enables image capture with a single cartridge case orientation.
USB 3 with a faster data transfer bandwidth of 5 Gbps.
Fixed zoom microscope needs no time spent on zooming/de-zooming.
Manually operated door with a drawer like insertion/removal mechanism accelerates the cartridge case swapping process.
High-powered processor accelerates the processing and calculation of high-resolution 3D images.
OPTICAL RESOLUTION AND CAMERA SAMPLING BrassTrax H4 (or equal) features a larger field of view with
a fixed zoom microscope that maintains consistent optical resolution and sampling across all Regions of Interest (ROI),
using a single-view capture approach to retain detail and streamline image processing.
Larger fixed-zoom microscope with a single sampling rate of around 3.3 micrometers per pixel (µm/ pixel) for all region
of interests.
Larger field of View of 6.7 mm x 6.7 mm at 1.6X nominal magnification.
Single view captures for no loss of details.
3D CAPABILITIES The BrassTrax H4 (or equal) enhances 3D imaging capabilities with slope coverage up to
approximately 45 degrees, enabling better visualization of steep features. Integrated 3D Full Head Stamp (FHS) imaging
provides enhanced depth and detail across the entire mark.
Extending surface slope measurements to angles up to approximately 45 degrees significantly reduces artefacts in the
steep walls of the firing pin impression.
Full Head Stamp is now in full 3D.
USER INTERFACE The BrassTrax H4 (or equal) features an intuitive user interface that streamlines the acquisition
process that often requires just a single click to launch, while enabling virtual 3D manipulation and automated parameter
settings to support a smoother, more efficient workflow.
Single click acquisition launch in almost all cases.
3D capture is manipulated instead of the physical cartridge case to enhance ease of use and improve process speed.
Enables efficient detection and centering of the Ejector mark using the Full Head Stamp image.
No user intervention is required during image capture, even in manual mode. All parameters are preset at the start of the
acquisition.
Must be NIBIN compatible.
