Overview
Summary

The City seeks professional environmental services from a qualified and experienced consulting firm to perform an environmental/biological assessment of proposed grading and drainage improvements to the existing unimproved City access road to access the south fork of the Arroyo Conejo from Calle Las Trancas as well as the construction of a new manhole structure over an existing 30-inch diameter wastewater pipeline in the canyon. Such services shall include but not be limited to: coordination with City operations and City engineering staff; research/review the record drawings and site conditions; conduct the required biological and environmental field assessment services to support the required CEQA environmental document, develop the appropriate environmental study document (likely a Mitigated Negative Declaration); attend monthly coordination meetings as needed with the City’s Project Manager, coordinate and attend a workshop to provide the draft recommendations, incorporate the draft recommendations into a final project environmental alternatives analysis document, prepare and assist with the required regulatory permit documents.

The City of Thousand Oaks is located in eastern Ventura County and consists of 56 square miles. The City population is approximately 122,000. The City is a general law city operating under the Council/Manager form of government. The City Council is comprised of five elected members through district-based elections, with one member serving as Mayor on an annual basis.
