Bowie Playhouse Stairway Replacement

The City of Bowie, Maryland is requesting quotes from experienced and qualified contractors to improve accessibility and enhance safety at the Bowie Playhouse, located at 16500 White Marsh Park Drive, Bowie, MD 20715. The project involves removing the existing wooden platform and handrails completely, followed by fabricating and installing a new steel staircase. Electronic (pdf) bids will be received through Bid Locker at https://bidlocker.us/details/5291_Bowie_Playhouse_Stairway_Replacement until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 22, 2025. The City of Bowie reserves the right to reject any bids.

There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting held at 9 AM on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at the Playhouse.

All questions or requests for clarification regarding this Invitation for Bids are required to be submitted through the Bid Locker platform at https://bidlocker.us/details/5291_Bowie_Playhouse_Stairway_Replacement prior to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025. Written responses to all questions and/or requests for clarifications will be issued as an addendum to the solicitation no later than Wednesday, September 17, 2025, to all those who have registered with Bid Locker and downloaded the specifications and bid documents.

The City encourages certified disadvantaged business entities to submit a quote.
