The Town of Barrington is seeking sealed competitive bids from qualified contractors for the Bowden Avenue Best Management Practice Retrofit Project. The project proposes drainage improvements within a public right-of-way adjacent to Bowden Avenue. Bids will be received by the Department of Public Works, 84 Upland Way, Barrington, Rhode Island, 02806, labeled as:
“BOWDEN AVENUE BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICE RETROFIT PROJECT”
Until Friday, March 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM EST at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read.

Prospective bidders are hereby notified that there will be a non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference at the intersection of Bowden Avenue and Woodward Avenue on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM EST.
The prevailing rate of wages for employees employed by contractors or subcontractors of building construction projects in the State of Rhode Island shall be paid wages at rates not less than those prevailing on the same type of work on similar construction in the immediate locality as indicated in RI General Law 37-13-8.
All bidders are required to inform themselves fully of the conditions relating to the construction and labor under which the work will be or is now being performed and the contractor shall employ, as far as possible, such methods and means in carrying out this work will not cause interruption or interference with any other contractor.
The Town of Barrington reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any minor deviations or informalities in the bids received, and to accept the bid deemed most favorable to the interest of the Town.
The Town of Barrington will provide accommodations needed to ensure equal participation in all meetings.
