Boschung America LLC - Inspection, Maintenance, Repair, and Monitoring of MnDOT RWIS and FAST Systems

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) intends to renew an agreement with Boschung America LLC for up to 12 months to provide inspection, maintenance, repair, and monitoring services. All services will continue to support Boschung’s Roadside Weather Information System (RWIS) and Fixed Anti-Icing Spray Technology (FAST) Systems. MnDOT has a substantial number of these systems installed in multiple service districts. Boschung America’s services will include Fall and Spring switchovers for Boschung anti-icing systems (replacing water with CF7 anti-icing chemical, pressurizing the system, firing and calibration of all sprayers at each location), as well as reviewing circuit panels, diagnosing errors, and providing service, repairs, and parts as needed for these systems.

MnDOT has determined that Boschung America LLC’s agreement is the only commercially reasonably available commodity product. This is deemed a single source purchase because all of the systems already installed are proprietary to Boschung. All such systems, support, parts and maintenance are solely distributed and provided by Boschung America LLC and are not available from other third parties.
