NEW BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL STADIUM FOR

GRIMSLEY HIGH SCHOOL #6783

GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA

Sealed proposals will be received by the Guilford County School System until 2:00 PM EST on

Wednesday, December 3, 2025 in Conference Room 2A located at 714 Green Valley Road,

Greensboro, North Carolina 27408, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read aloud,

to furnish all materials and labor for the New Grimsley High School Baseball And Softball

Stadium, Greensboro, NC. Upon arrival, please check-in at the front information desk for room

location, and sign-in. Please allow sufficient time for this, as late bids will not be accepted.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM EST on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

Attendees shall meet at the former Brooks Global Studies School site (proposed new stadium site)

at North Josephine Boyd Blvd and West Wendover Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27403. All potential

bidders are strongly encouraged to attend, examine the existing conditions, and discuss the

project's specific details. Bidders must be properly licensed for the work in accordance with

Section 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes.

Copies of plans, specifications, and contract documents will be available for inspection during

business hours from Tuesday, November 4, 2025, until bids are opened at the following location:

Guilford County Public Schools Administration Office, 714 Green Valley Road, Greensboro, NC

27408. A $150.00 bid deposit is required to obtain a complete set of electronic PDF plans and

specifications, payable to McKissick Associates Architects; contact

info@mckissickassociates.com. The full deposit, less a $15.00 handling fee, will be refundable to

contractors who submit a bona fide bid. Paper copies of plans and specifications may be

purchased from the Architect for an additional non-refundable fee of $250.00.

Work will commence on or before February 15, 2026, and be completed on or before November

15, 2026.

A 5% bid security as well as a 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment

Bonds are required for this project. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing

time for the receipt of bids for a period of 60 days.

Bidders must be properly licensed for the work in accordance with Section 87 of the

North Carolina General Statutes. General Contractors must have a general license

classification for at least UNLIMITED BUILDING or S (ROOFING) in accordance

with the Rules & Regulations of the North Carolina Licensing Board for General

Contractors.

Minority businesses are encouraged to submit bids for this project. The appropriate

forms from the section entitled “Participation by Women and Minority Owned

Businesses” must be submitted with each bid to show good faith efforts to obtain

Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise participation.

E-Verify Requirements: This project requires the awarded vendor to comply with the

requirements of E-Verify. (U.S. law requiring companies to employ only individuals who

may legally work in the United States

– either U.S. citizens, or foreign citizens who have the necessary authorization.)

The Guilford County Board of Education awards public contracts without regard to race,

religion, color, creed, national origin, sex, age or handicapped condition as defined by

North Carolina General Statutes, Section 168A-3.

The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids presented and to waive any

informalities and irregularities.
