The State of Wisconsin, Consolidated Agency Purchasing Services (CAPS), on behalf of the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA), Wisconsin Veterans Home at King (WVH-K), requests Bids for the purchase of Biomedical Services and intends to use the results of this process to award one (1) Contract.
WDVA does not guarantee it will purchase any specific quantity or pay any minimum Contract amount during the term of the Contract. The State reserves the right to cancel this RFB for any reason prior to the issuance of the Notice of Intent to Award. 1.2.1 Overview of Procuring Agency, Background and Objectives The Wisconsin Veterans Home at King is a skilled nursing facility that provides care for veteran populations in the State of Wisconsin. The Home has an extensive inventory of medical equipment including beds, lifts, pulse oximeters, pumps and vital sign monitors. A list of equipment types owned by WVH-K is provided in Appendix 2 – Equipment Types, additions or deletions of equipment may be made by WVH-K throughout the contract period. These pieces of equipment are located in multiple buildings throughout the WVH-K campus. To ensure the continued safety and care of WVH-K members, repairs need to be completed to keep the equipment in precise working order. This will include performing preventive maintenance and certifications on a scheduled basis as required. The Contractor will be required to follow the manufacturer’s preventive maintenance (PM) schedule and manage an ongoing maintenance record that includes their professional recommendation for any repairs needed. The Contractor will be required to meet the necessary training and certification requirements to perform biomedical technician services as outline in this document. Contracted work could be up to 40 hours per week based on operational needs. |
