Scope of Services
The Canaveral Port Authority is seeking qualifications from interested firms to provide BIOLOGICAL & ECOLOGICAL SERVICES on a Continuing Contract for the Canaveral Port Authority, Cape Canaveral, Florida, RFQ-25-6. These services will be acquired in compliance with the Consultants Competitive Negotiations Act, Florida Statues 287.055. The Scope of Work required by the CPA on a continuing contract basis for work of a specified nature and will likely encompass a wide variety of tasks. These tasks, as outlined herein, may include, but not be limited to support for: wetland delineation, mitigation, monitoring; issues regarding endangered, threatened, and species of special concern; aquatic or invasive weed and vegetation control consultation; greenhouse gases and air pollutants; underwater noise; dredged material management and testing; compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations pertaining to biological and ecological issues; acting as a liaison between the CPA and necessary government agencies; and preparing applications, supporting documentation and follow through necessary to support Environmental Resource Permit (ERP) applications to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Florida Department of Environmental Protection and/or St. Johns Water Management District, Environmental Protection Agency and any other required local, state and federal agencies. The selected firms may be required to coordinate with other engineering and environmental consultants working on CPA projects. The Canaveral Port Authority intends to enter into Continuing Contracts with multiple consultants, and therefore, firms without in-house expertise in all disciplines are encouraged to apply.
