BIOHAZARD MATERIALS DISPOSAL

The sole purpose and intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to establish a sole contractor who can provide proper transportation and disposal of biomedical wastes resulting from the autopsies performed. as well as other regulated wastes that may be contaminated with body fluids or other potentially infectious materials. More details of services to be performed is embodied in the Scope of Work (SOW).

The Coroner's Office of San Mateo County promptly investigates and determines the mode, manner and cause of death of decedents under the Coroner's jurisdiction. Our forensic pathologists perform about 500 autopsies every year in order to determine the cause of death.
