RE-ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
City of High Point
Water and Sewer Maintenance
North Carolina General Statute (N.C.G.S.) 143-132(a) requires a minimum of three
competitive bids to be received for formal construction and repair contracts. Three bids were
not received on April 29, 2026. Should fewer than the required three bids be offered for formal
projects advertised as N.C.G.S. 143-129 requires, the project may be re-advertised.
Therefore, pursuant to N.C.G.S. formal bidding laws, sealed bid proposals endorsed "Bid 22-
042926 Water and Sewer Mains will be received by the Purchasing Division of the City of
High Point, North Carolina, located in the Municipal Operations Center, Warehouse Building
at 816 East Green Drive, High Point, NC, until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at
which date and time they will be opened and publicly read aloud. Three bids are not required
at this second offering, as few as one valid bid may be opened and considered for award per
NCGS 143-132.
Copies of the Contract Documents and Plans may be obtained from Duncan Parnell at the
below address, by depositing a nonrefundable fee of $110 (plus tax and shipping) for each set
so obtained. Contract Documents and Plans can be reviewed and purchases made from Duncan

The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, as may in the judgment of the City, serve
its best interest and the City further reserves the right to waive irregularities and informalities
in any bid submitted.
