Sealed Bid Proposals will be received by the City of Tuscaloosa, at the Council Chamber of City
Hall, 2201 University Boulevard, on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 2:00 pm local time for this
project, at which time bids will be opened and read.
Pre-Bid Conference: Attendance at the MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference is required in order for
a General Contractor to submit a bid on this Project. The Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the
Council Chamber of City Hall, 2201 University Boulevard, on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 2:00 pm
local time. Parking and Entry to City Hall: Free visitor parking is provided in the Intermodal Facility
(parking deck) at 2230 7th Street. Access City Hall through the 4th-floor skywalk entrance to
Security.
Project Scope: Generator replacement, converting from diesel to natural gas and replacement of
associated ATS(s).
Award of the contract will be made within sixty (60) calendar days from the date of the bid
opening.
Plans and Specifications: Plans and specifications and all related Contract Documents are open
for public inspection at the office of Smith, Stegall & Associates, P.C., located at 2110 8th Street,
Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 and plans, specifications and other elements of the contract documents
may be obtained from the office of the Engineer, Smith, Stegall & Associates, P.C., designated
as the office of the awarding authority for this purpose, located 2110 8th Street, Tuscaloosa, AL
