NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the Tarrytown Village

Administrator of the Village of Tarrytown located at Village Hall, 1 Depot Plaza, Tarrytown,

NY, 10591, by Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at which time they will be publicly

opened and read and the Contract awarded as soon thereafter as practicable for:

Note: Installation quotes will be requested under separately bid RFP.

Bids may be mailed or hand-delivered to the Village Administrator at the above address,

provided the Bid is actually received by the Village Administrator prior to the time of public

opening; or bids may be mailed or delivered to the place of public opening immediately prior to

the time of public opening.

All Bids/Quotes must be sealed and submitted in plainly marked envelopes marked “Contract

2026-10 “FURNISH AND DELIVER One Replacement (New) Goulds Pump” 1400 GPM

@ 272 ft TDH OR APPROVED EQUAL”

The Bids/Quotes shall be in accordance with the requirements of the Specifications and terms of

the proposed Contract, if any.

The Village reserves the right to reject any and all Bids/Quotes, and to waive any informalities

therein.

The Village will not accept Bids/Quotes from, nor award a Contract to, anyone who cannot

prove to the satisfaction of the Village that he/she is able to supply the actual item being

bid/quoted and financially able and to furnish and supply the equipment provided for.

Specifications and other Contract Documents may be examined at the office of the Village

Administrator at Village Hall, 1 Depot Plaza, Tarrytown, NY, 10591, on or after Thursday,

September 3, 2026. Specifications are available at no charge electronically, by sending a request

via email to Administrator@tarrytownny.gov.

The Village is not accepting alternative equipment – this is as specified.

INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS AND GENERAL CONDITIONS

1. Documents:

Complete sets of Bidding Documents will be issued for bidding purposes as stated in the Notice

to Bidders. A complete set of documents consists of the following:

1. A bound copy of these specifications and requirements; and

2. Addenda (if any).

Bidder is responsible for examining the site(s) and familiarizing him/herself with the conditions

of the work locations prior to the submission of a bid.

2. Bids:

To be considered, Bids must comply with these Instructions to Bidders. All bids must be

submitted on the enclosed Bid Documents, such forms as are set forth herein. All blank spaces

for bid prices must be completed in words and in figures either typed or written in ink.

Bids that contain omissions, erasures, alterations, additions, or items not called for in the

itemized proposal, or irregularities of any kind, may constitute adequate cause to reject the

bid(s). In case of any discrepancy between words and figures in prices set forth in the Proposal,

the price in words shall be paramount. All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes addressed

as follows:

Each Bid must include Bidder’s name and address, be signed with the name typed or printed

below the signature, and Corporate Seal (if applicable) affixed under the Bidder’s name. Bids

telephoned, emailed, or faxed in will not be accepted. Separate sets of proposal sheets will not

be issued.

3. Qualifications of Bidders:

The Village of Tarrytown may make such investigations as it deems necessary to determine the

qualifications of the Bidder to perform the work, and the Bidder shall furnish information and

data for this purpose as may be required. The Village reserves the right to reject any bid if the

evidence submitted by a Bidder or the investigation of such Bidder fails to satisfy the Village,

that such Bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Contract and to complete

the work contemplated therein within the time frame designated.

Fraudulent statements shall cause rejection of Bid(s) and forfeiture of the related bid security.

4. Addenda and Interpretation:

Every request for information or interpretation of Bidding Documents and/or Specifications and

Requirements must be addressed in writing to Richard Slingerland, Village Administrator,

Village Hall, 1 Depot Plaza, Tarrytown, NY, 10591, or by e-mail to

Administrator@tarrytownny.gov and to be given any consideration must be received in writing

by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. Any and all such interpretations, and any
