Conducting Procurement Unit: Snow College
Snow College is looking for a person to preform piano tuning and repairs on the College’s Steinway pianos. The person must be a authorized/certified Steinway technician tuner. The College wishes to establish this service with a contract for three (3) years, with two (2) - one (1) year renewable options. Pricing needs to stay the same for the length of the contract(s).
Services to be provided:
The standard tunings are below, but may fluctuate a little, and will be coordinated by the project manager.

1 4 Tunings per semester (fall & spring), with 1 per summer (54 Tunings per year)
Concert Hall - Steinway D - 1 piano
Concert Hall - Boston 1185 - 1 pianos
Piano Teaching Studio - 4 pianos
2 2 Tunings per semester (fall & spring), with 1 per summer (150 Tunings per year)
Practice rooms - 12 pianos
Teaching Studios - 11 pianos
Classrooms - 5 pianos
Recital Hall - 2 pianos
3 1 Tuning per semester (fall & spring), with 1 per summer ( 3 Tunings per year)
Recording Studio - 1 piano
4 2 Tunings per year - with additional tunings for concert guest artists (2 to 4 per year.

Piano Repairs.
As you service the pianos their will be needed repairs and part replacements. All parts must be “Steinway” parts or it will void the warranties etc on the pianos (see spreadsheet to put your pricing)..
5 Provide us a costs plus or % off MSRP for the following parts
Strings
Hammers
Felts
Keys
Pedals
Wood work - refinishing etc.
Misc -other parts
6 Provide us with a copy of your certifications/authorized of being a Steinway Service technician. The technician that works on our pianos MUST be the one that is the Steinway certified technician.
Costs must include all costs associated with this service including, labor, travel, trip charge, equipment, parts etc.
7 In addition to the price for the above tunings. Please provide us with an hourly rate, to include travel (see spreadsheet to put your pricing).
Evaluation of Quotes: Each quote received shall be evaluated for responsiveness in as outlined in the Utah Procurement Code. This RFQ shall be evaluated by the objective criteria described in this RFQ. Quotes submitted must comply with the specification identified in this RFQ.
Multiple or alternate quotes will not be accepted. If a vendor submits multiple or alternate quotes, Snow College will only accept the bidder's primary bid and will not accept any other bids constituting multiple or alternate bids.
Snow College Purchasing may solicit other quotes via email, phone, or other methods as permitted by the Utah Procurement Code or applicable Administrative Rules.
