GENERAL BID SPECIFICATIONS
City of Minot, ND 58701
The City of Minot is exempt from state and federal excise and sales taxes and no amount for such taxes
are to be included in the bid price. The attached bid proposal form shall be used in submitting the bid.
The City Council reserves, to itself, the right to reject any or all bids and to award the contract as it
deems necessary and in the best interest of the City of Minot.
Delivery of materials, supplies or services contained in the bid shall be made to the Minot Public Works
Building (1025 31st St. SE), and the price shall be FOB, Minot, North Dakota.
All envelopes must be sealed and marked plainly:

Bids will be opened in the office of the City Clerk at the Civic Center, 10 3rd Ave SW, Minot, North Dakota
at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. Bids received after this time will be returned, unopened, to
the bidder. Bidders are invited to be present at the opening of bids.

The pickup to be furnished under these specifications shall be the manufacturer's newest and latest
model. All pickups shall meet or exceed all of the following minimum specifications. The successful
bidder shall submit an itemized order sheet to the Public Works Utilities Director, for written approval,
prior to ordering the vehicle. The order sheet shall list all specifications, colors, etc. of the vehicle.
Engine: 8 cylinder Gasoline, EFI, 385HP Minimum
Transmission: 4-speed, Automatic (heavy duty)
Rear-end Ratio: 3:73
Payload: 2600 Lbs. (minimum) - shall have aftermarket air bag suspension kit
GVW: 8,800 Lbs. (minimum)
Drive: Four Wheel Drive (Electronic - capable of being completely engaged/disengaged
from inside the cab.)
Bumper: Standard front and rear bumpers with Class IV trailer hitch receiver, 7-pin wiring
harness & transmission cooler (trailer tow package)
Glass: All Windows Factory Tinted
Box Length: Delete box, see service body specifications
Gauges: Speedometer, Odometer, Oil Pressure, Engine Temperature, Tachometer,

Exterior/Interior: The unit shall be painted with the manufacturer's standard white paint,
40/20/40 cloth front seat. (Interior color to be determined by the Public Works
Utility Director at time of bid award). Both doors on extended cab must open.

Warranty: Manufacturer's Standard Warranty (3 year 36,000 mile minimum)
Manuals: Repair, Parts and Electrical Manuals on cd, book or web based format as well as
diagnostic cables and software required for trouble shooting.
***The service body to be furnished with the above vehicles shall be a BrandFX 56 LS Series or
meet or exceed all of the following minimum specifications. All mounting and wiring shall be
completed prior to delivery.

Platform: Platform Security: A lockable platform latch with lock
included.

Safety: Curb-side Fixed Control: Timer deactivates 90 seconds
after last operation. Pressure Relief Valve to prevent
operator from overloading the platform.

that the right to reject any and all bids is reserved by the owner, and it is agreed that this bid may not be
withdrawn 60 days after actual date of the opening. Payment will be made within 30 days after
acceptance of the unit.
