NOTICE TO BIDDERS
BID #: 2026-13 - NEW FIRE STATION NO. 2 PROJECT
The City of Rio Grande City ("City") is requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors
to furnish all labor, material, equipment supervision, and incidentals necessary for the
Construction Services of the New Fire Station No. 2. The project generally consists of the
construction of a new approximately 4,955 square-foot fire station facility including
apparatus bays, dormitories, offices, kitchen/living area, locker room, restrooms, storage
rooms, utilities, paving, sidewalks, drainage improvements, landscaping, fencing, lighting,
and related site improvements.
Bid Documents and Specifications may be obtained at the City Secretary's Office located
in City Hall at address: 5332 E. US Highway 83, Rio Grande City, TX. 78582 or at the city
website: www.cityofrgc.com under bid opportunities.
The sealed bids will be received until 11:00 AM on Friday, July 24, 2026 and must be
clearly identified and addressed for delivery to:

Bidders must use the bid forms provided on the bid documents and are required to print on
the sealed envelope and/or packet as follows: Bidder's name and address on the upper left-
hand corner and "BID #: 2026-13 - NEW FIRE STATION NO. 2 PROJECT" on the
lower left-hand corner of the sealed envelope and/or packet and clearly labeled. Overnight
mail must also be properly labeled on the outside of the express envelope or package. Any
bid received after closing time will be rejected and returned unopened.
The City of Rio Grande City, reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any
informalities in the bidding process in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code
Chapter 252. Bids may be held by the City for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date
of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders'
qualifications prior to the contract award.
