Bid Notice: Almond Road Crossing at ComEd (Project 8479)

TIME AND PLACE OF OPENING OF BIDS:

Sealed proposals for the improvement described below will be received at the office of the Village of Gurnee, Engineering Division, 325 N. O’Plaine Road, Gurnee, Illinois 60031, until 10:00 A.M., September 29 ^th , 2025.  Proposals will be opened and read publicly at that time.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
“Almond Rd RRFB Crossing at ComEd”
Project # 8479

LOCATIONS :

• ComEd crossing at Almond Road between Almaden Lane and Dada Drive.

PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT :

Scope of work includes installation of two crosswalk signs with Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) devices at existing crosswalk.

BIDDERS INSTRUCTIONS :

1. Plans and proposal forms will be available in the office of the Village of Gurnee, 325 N. O’Plaine Road, Gurnee, Illinois  60031 for a non-refundable cost of $25.
2. The Contractor must abide by the articles included in the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130).
3. The awarding authority reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals as provided in Check Sheet LRS 6 of the “Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions,” prepared by the Department of Transportation. The contractor is not required to provide a guarantee in accordance with Sheet LRS 6.
