NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NEWSPAPER BID ADVERTISEMENT
The City of Passaic, an approved sponsor in the State of New Jersey invites the submission of sealed bids for prepackaged breakfast and lunch meals meeting program requirements as described in the bid specifications and contract. Bids containing dual prices for one meal type that are tied to a sponsor’s ultimate level of meal service will be rejected. FSMC submitting bids must be registered in the State of New Jersey to participate in the 2025 Program. These meals are to be served to 805 children in the Summer Food Service Program, Monday-Friday. Delivery is to be as per bid specifications and contract. Specifications and contract may be obtained as of April 25th , 2025 from the City of Passaic’s website

Sealed bids clearly marked on the outside envelope SFSP, along with a sample lunch are to be received by May 20th, 2025 at 10:00 AM in the Purchasing Conference Room: Second Floor Room #207, 330 Passaic Street, City Hall, Passaic, NJ.
BIDDERS SHALL ADHERE STRICTLY TO THE STATE OF NJ

If the total bid is in excess of $100,000.00, a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the estimated total amount of bid must accompany the bid. The bid bond must be from a company listed in the current Department of Treasury Circular 570 certified to do business in New Jersey. No other type of bid bond is acceptable.
Bidder shall also submit with the bid a Certificate of Surety from a Surety Company licensed and qualified to do business in the State of New Jersey, pursuant to Federal and/or State law as a Surety, stating that it will provide the contractor with a Performance Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the acceptable bid as security for the faithful performance of this contract.
If awarded a contract, your company/firm shall be required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq. and N.J.A.C. 17.27.
The City of Passaic is only responsible for forwarding addendums or clarifications to those prospective bidders who obtained specifications directly from the City of Passaic, Division of Purchasing, or to those who have put the City of Passaic Division of Purchasing on notice as having received the specification. The City Council reserves the right to waive any informality in the bids received and the right to consider bids for sixty (60) days after their receipt.
