ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Project Name: Mercedes Force Main Phase 3

Sealed Bid Proposals will be received by the City of Tuscaloosa, at the Council Chamber of City

Hall, 2201 University Boulevard, on July 28, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. local time for this project, at which

time bids will be opened and read.

Pre-Bid Conference: Attendance at the MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference is required in order for

a General Contractor to submit a bid on this Project. The Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the

Council Chamber of City Hall, 2201 University Boulevard, on July 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local

time. Parking and Entry to City Hall: Free visitor parking is provided in the Intermodal Facility

(parking deck) at 2230 7th Street. Access City Hall through the 4th-floor skywalk entrance to

Security.

Project Scope: Replacement of 3,350 LF of 16” DI Force Main with 20” HDPE and 4 Air Release

Valve Assemblies, 5,700 LF 12” HDPE Temporary Bypass Force Main, Testing, Erosion Control,

and Appurtenances.

Award of the contract will be made within sixty (60) calendar days from the date of the bid

opening.

Plans and Specifications: Plans and specifications and all related Contract Documents are open

for public inspection at the office of TTL, Inc., located at 3200 Rice Mine Tuscaloosa, AL, 35406

and plans, specifications and other elements of the contract documents may be obtained

from the office of the Engineer TTL 3200 Rice Mine Road Tuscaloosa, AL, 35406, designated as

the office of the awarding authority for this purpose, located at 2201 University Blvd, Tuscaloosa,

AL. 35401. The contact person for the project is Doug Varnon, PE, CFM. They can be reached at

doug.varnon@ttlusa.com . Should a hard copy be needed, a refundable deposit of $250 shall be

provided. No deposit is required for an electronic copy.
