Project Name:Lift Station 40 and 41 Valve Replacements Project

Sealed Bid Proposals will be received by the City of Tuscaloosa, at the Council Chamber of City

Hall, 2201 University Boulevard, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. local time for this

project, at which time bids will be opened and read.

Pre-Bid Conference: Attendance at the MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference is required in order for

a General Contractor to submit a bid on this Project. The Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the

Council Chamber of City Hall, 2201 University Boulevard, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 10:00

a.m. local time.

Project Scope: Replacement of 12” Plug valves (Discharge side), 16” Plug valves (Suction side),

and 12” Check Valves at Lift Stations 40 and 41. Lift Station 40 and 41 each have three (3) pumps

in which the aforementioned isolation valving will need replacement. The project also includes

an alternate to replace the 12” Plug Valves (Discharge side) and 16” Plug Valves (Suction side) at

Lift Station 15. Lift Station 15 has two (2) pumps in which the aforementioned isolation valving

needs replaced.

Award of the contract will be made within fifty (50) calendar days from the date of the bid

opening.

Plans and Specifications: Plans and specifications and all related Contract Documents are open

for public inspection at the office of Bryan Gurney, P.E., located at 4010 Reese Phifer Ave.,

Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 and plans, specifications and other elements of the contract documents

may be obtained from the City of Tuscaloosa Water & Sewer Department Bryan Gurney, P.E.,

designated as the office of the awarding authority for this purpose, located at 4010 Reese Phifer
