Bid #26081 Jetport Maintenance Building Residing Project
Sealed bids for the Jetport Maintenance Building Residing Project at the Portland International Jetport shall be submitted electronically to bidsubmit@portlandmaine.gov with the name of the Bidder, Contract Name and Bid number in the subject line will be received until 3:00 P.M., April 9th, 2026, at which time they will be opened and read. Proposals may also be submitted via USPS, UPS or FedEx to the City of Portland, Purchasing Rm. 103, 389 Congress St., Portland ME 04101. It is the bidder’s sole responsibility to ensure that their bid is submitted prior to the date and time specified. Late bids shall not be accepted.
Outline of Work: The Portland International Jetport is seeking bids to install new exterior metal siding with insulation over an existing masonry block building together with exterior painting of doors, door frames and an existing metal overhang at the Maintenance Building. Other miscellaneous work is also required as described in the summary of work and depicted on contract drawings and contained in contract bidding documents including interior building work. The work is to be completed in two phases as specified in contract documents. The project will take place at the Jetport Maintenance Building (Yellowbird Road) where operations are ongoing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. The Contractor shall cooperate fully with the Jetport and shall be flexible for timing and sequencing of the work to ensure operations are not adversely impacted. This work shall be considered incidental and a requirement to the Contractors bid and work. Refer to other contract provisions for additional requirements and considerations. Contract work is not within the secure area of the Jetport. However, the work is adjacent an active airport that is secure and the contactor shall be responsible for becoming familiar with the surroundings.
