NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The City of Joplin, Missouri will accept sealed bid proposals until 1:00 P.M., Monday
August 03, 2026, at the Joplin Fire Department located at 303 E. Third St. Joplin,
Missouri, 64801 to PURCHASE the following:
Supply Hose Package
Specifications and bid forms are available from Deputy Chief Andy Nimmo, Joplin
Fire Department by calling 417-624-0820 ext. 1301 or by writing to the address
indicated above. Any bids received after the specified deadline will be returned to the
vendor.
The City reserves the right to evaluate all bids, to reject any or all bids and re-bid at a
later date. The City may waive any irregularities in the bid or negotiate variances from
specifications, and make awards that are in the best interests of the City. The City will
have final decision in all matters regarding acceptance of bids and issuance of awards.
The City encourages minority and female owned businesses to submit bids on all City
purchases.

INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS
The City of Joplin, Missouri proposes to PURCHASE the following:
The Joplin Fire Department is planning to replace all 5" supply line on our
apparatus.
MARK BID ENVELOPES: "BID #2026-03 SUPPLY HOSE PACKAGE, 1:00 P.M.,
MONDAY, AUGUST 03, 2026"
Questions concerning the specifications and bidding procedures should be directed to DEPUTY
CHIEF ANDY NIMMO, Joplin FIRE Department at 303 E. THIRD ST., Joplin, MO, 64801 or by
phoning 417-624-0820 EXT. 1301.
Please make sure all requested documents are completed prior to submitting the bid.
The bid specifications are within the document, and all bids must meet the requested
specifications or it will not be considered. If you cannot bid on any item, please clearly
mark it as a "No Bid".
Please include estimated shipping costs for all items that you are bidding, or your bid
will not be considered.
If you are awarded the bid and are not a current vendor of the city, you will be required
to fill out a vendor packet prior to the order being placed.
We are requiring an "estimated delivery time" in the bid document to assist us in
creating a transitional plan for the equipment. It is understood that this date could be
fluid based on supply chain or work force issues and is an estimate only.
The bids will be evaluated on the following criteria ranked in order of priority:
1. Lowest cost including shipping costs
2. Delivery time
3. Warranty
JFD will provide identification numbers for the hose once the order has been placed.

BID SPECIFICATIONS

items. If you cannot provide the requested items, please indicate that with a "No Bid".
Any bid that does not include an estimated shipping price will not be considered.

PARTIAL DELIVERIES AND/OR PARTIAL INVOICES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
