Hoover Fire Station #4 Cabinet Build and Refurbishment Project
Sealed Bids for Hoover Fire Station #4 Cabinet Build and Refurbishment Project will be received by the City Clerk
of the City of Hoover, Alabama, 100 Municipal Lane, Hoover, Alabama 35216, until 2:00 pm CT on Wednesday,
April 9, 2025, at which time they will be opened and read aloud within Hoover City Hall. No Bids will be accepted
or opened after the date and time set forth herein.
The work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment, and for the doing the work of building,
refurbishing, and installing cabinets and countertops at Hoover Fire Station #4.
A MANDATORY Pre-Bid meeting will be held at 8:30 a.m. CT on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Hoover Fire Station
#4, 800 Municipal Drive, Hoover, Alabama, 35216. Failure to attend this meeting and site visit will result in Bidder
disqualification.
The bracket estimate on this project is from $15,000 to $20,000. This bracket range is shown only to provide
general financial information to contractors and bonding companies, and should not be used in preparing a bid, nor
will this bracket have any bearing on the decision to award the contract.
Bid Specifications are open to public review at the Office of The City Clerk of the City of Hoover, 100 Municipal
Lane, Hoover, Alabama, 35216. Bid Specifications and Bid Proposal Forms are also available for review and
download from the city’s website at http://hooveralabama.gov/bids.aspx.
NOTE: Bid Specifications will NOT be mailed to prospective bidders.
The City of Hoover hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into
pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) will be afforded full opportunity to
submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, gender,
religion, age, disability, marital status or national origin in consideration for an award.
The attention of Bidders is called to the provisions of Section 31-13-9, Code of Alabama 1975 relating to Immigration
Law compliance and documentation thereof (i.e. participation in the Federal E-Verify program). The successful
Bidder will be required to sign a contract that includes the following provision related to Immigration: "By signing
this contract, the contracting parties affirm, for the duration of the agreement, that they will not violate federal
immigration law or knowingly employ, hire for employment or continue to employ an unauthorized alien within the
state of Alabama. Furthermore, a contracting party found to be in violation of this provision shall be deemed in breach
of the agreement and shall be responsible for all damages resulting therefrom."
All Bids/Proposals shall remain valid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the date of receipt of Bids. The
Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality in any Bid, and to accept any Bid which
is considered to be most advantageous to the Owner. The Contract award, if made will be made to the lowest
responsive, responsible Bidder as evidenced by his/her submittal of a Bid/Proposal Form which has been completed,
signed, and delivered in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
