REQUIRED BY CODE.
2. VERIFY EXISTING CONDITIONS ON THE JOB SITE BEFORE BEGINNING ANY WORK. COORDINATE NEW
WORK WITH THE OWNER PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF WORK. COMMENCEMENT OF WORK SIGNIFIES
ACCEPTANCE OF CONDITIONS.
3. CONTRACT DOCUMENT DRAWINGS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC AND ARE INTENDED TO CONVEY SCOPE AND
GENERAL ARRANGEMENT ONLY. PROVIDE ADDITIONAL DUCTWORK, PIPING, AND THEIR FITTINGS.
4. MAINTAIN CLEAR ACCESS TO SERVICE EQUIPMENT AND OTHER ACCESSORIES REQUIRING SERVICE,
VISUAL INSPECTION OR HAND OPERATION. WHERE INDICATED OR REQUIRED, PROVIDE ACCESS PANELS
OF THE TYPE SELECTED TO SUIT MATERIALS IN WHICH INSTALLED.
5. ADJUST DUCTWORK SIZES TO PROPERLY CONNECT TO MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT.
6. LOCATIONS, DUCTWORK, PIPING, AND EQUIPMENT AS INDICATED ON THE DRAWING, ARE APPROXIMATE
AND SUBJECT TO MINOR ADJUSTMENTS IN THE FIELD. WORK SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH ALL OTHER
TRADES TO AVOID INTERFERENCE IN THE FIELD.
7. INSTALL ALL MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT AND APPURTENANCES IN ACCORDANCE WITH WRITTEN
MANUFACTURERS' RECOMMENDATIONS, CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, AND APPLICABLE CODES AND
REGULATIONS.
8. ALL CONTROL WIRE AND CONDUIT SHALL COMPLY WITH THE NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE AND
ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS.
9. ALL PRESSURES LISTED ARE GAUGE UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
10. PRIOR TO STARTING WORK, SUBMIT SHOP DRAWINGS AND SUBMITTALS FOR ALL MECHANICAL
EQUIPMENT, DUCTWORK, DAMPERS, PIPING, PIPING FITTINGS, VALVES, INSULATION, PIPING AND
DUCTWORK SUPPORTS, AND CONTROLS.
11. CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN AND PAY FOR ALL NECESSARY PERMITS AND SHALL ARRANGE FOR ALL
REQUIRED INSPECTIONS.
12. PROVIDE ONE YEAR WARRANTY FOR ALL WORKMANSHIP AND MATERIALS AFTER THE DATE OF FINAL
ACCEPTANCE. REFER TO MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR EQUIPMENT EXTENDED WARRANTY
REQUIREMENTS.
13. FINAL PRODUCT SHALL BE A COMPLETE AND FUNCTIONING SYSTEM, AND SHALL CONFORM TO ALL
REQUIREMENTS OF APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL CODES.
14. MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE ALL HVAC EQUIPMENT (VOLTAGE, PHASE, ETC.) WITH
THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO ORDER OF ANY MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT. MECHANICAL
CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY MISMATCH BETWEEN MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT,
ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS AND THE ELECTRICAL SERVICE, AS DESIGNED. MECHANICAL AND
ELECTRICAL COORDINATION STATEMENTS SHALL BE INCLUDED WITH EQUIPMENT SUBMITTALS AND
ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS AND THE ELECTRICAL SERVICE, AS DESIGNED. MECHANICAL AND

UTILITY COMPANIES, AND THE OWNER 10 BUSINESS DAYS PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF WORK.
3. PROTECT THE INTEGRITY OF ALL ITEMS THAT ARE INDICATED TO REMAIN. WHERE ITEMS THAT ARE INDICATED TO REMAIN ARE NOT IN PROPER
WORKING ORDER PRIOR THE START OF NEW WORK, REPORT ANY ISSUES IMMEDIATELY TO THE ENGINEER OF RECORD AND THE OWNER'S
REPRESENTATIVE.
4. EXECUTE DEMOLITION IN A SAFE MANNER. EGRESS, EXITS AND FIRE PROTECTION EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS SHALL BE MAINTAINED. COVER ALL
FIRE ALARM DEVICES DURING CONSTRUCTION HOURS THEN AT END OF EACH WORKING DAY UNCOVER AND CLEAN THEM.
5. MAKE SAFE ANY UNPROTECTED, EXPOSED ELECTRICAL WIRING AT A POINT OF DEMOLITION. CAPS SHALL BE AIRTIGHT OR WATERTIGHT DEPENDING
ON TYPE OF SERVICE.
6. RESTORE EXISTING FIREPROOFING DUE TO DEMOLITION SCOPE OF WORK.
7. DEMOLITION MATERIALS REQUIRED TO BE TURNED OVER TO THE OWNER SHALL BE PLACED IN A MUTUALLY ACCEPTABLE LOCATION COORDINATED
WITH THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE. OTHERWISE, THE DEMOLITION MATERIALS INCLUDING REFRIGERANT, SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE BUILDING
AND DISPOSED IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE LAWS AND ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS. MATERIALS SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE BUILDING
