Bid Documents for Demolition-405 East Collin Street

The City of Corsicana will receive bids for the Demolition of the structure at 405 East Collin Street (Formerly the Corsicana Daily Sun Newspaper Building) at the office of the City Manager, 200 N. 12th Street, Corsicana, Texas 75110. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked " 405 East Collin Street Demolition " in the lower left-hand corner. Bids may also be submitted by email to For security reasons, you must enable JavaScript to view this E-mail address. .  Bids submitted by email must receive a confirmed receipt to be considered.  Bids will be received at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Government Center, 200 N. 12th Street, Corsicana, Texas 75110.

The City of Corsicana reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders' qualifications prior to contract award.

Bid Specifications for

Contract Demolition of 405 East Collin Street

Contractor shall provide all labor and equipment necessary to complete this contract.

Contractor shall be registered with the City and maintain a liability insurance policy in the amount of $1,000,000.00 with the City of Corsicana named as the certificate holder.   Contractor is responsible for repairing any damage caused to the property by performing any part of this contract.

Contractor must demolish and remove the entire structure including concrete foundation, clean all trash & debris, fill any voids resulting from the demolition with appropriate fill dirt as approved by the City Engineer and level the property to the point that stormwater will drain properly.

Contractor shall survey the condition of the building carefully before submitting any bid to ensure that the bid price covers the entire scope of work required. Contact the Engineering Department for access to the interior of the building. An existing 2500 gallon ink tank in the rear of the building is to be removed with the demolition.

Contractor shall complete the work within 20 working days from the date the demolition begins.

Bids must be presented on the attached Bid Proposal Form.

Contractor must submit all of the following with the final bid:

• List of equipment
• Names & contact information of two references
• Copy of liability insurance certificate

Final bids must be submitted to the City Manager’s office no later than 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 (200 N 12 ^th Street, Corsicana, TX  75110).   Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and shall be clearly marked “405 East Collin Street Demolition” in the lower left-hand corner.

The City of Corsicana reserves the right to refuse any and all bids.
