Collection of Garbage & Bulky Waste

Sealed Proposals will be received on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 @ 10:30 A.M.

prevailing time in the Purchasing Conference Room, 2nd Floor, Room 207, 330 Passaic

Street, Passaic, New Jersey and then publicly opened and read aloud for the furnishing

and delivery to the City of Passaic of the following:

Collection of Garbage & Bulky Waste

All bidders must be licensed garbage-collecting contractors registered with the

Public Utility Commission of New Jersey. Bidders must submit a standard form of

questionnaire and financial statement, which must be fully answered along with their bid

proposal.

Instructions to Bidders, Specifications, and Proposal Form are available for

download from the City of Passaic website www.cityofpassaic.com

Bids will be received for a three (3) year contract commencing April 1, 2025 and

expiring on March 31, 2028 a four (4) year contract, commencing April 1, 2025 and

expiring on March 31, 2029, and a five (5) year contract commencing April 1, 2025 and

expiring on March 31, 2030.

A non-mandatory (voluntary) Pre-Bid Conference has been scheduled for

Monday, February 10, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. in the Purchasing Conference Room, 2nd

Floor, City Hall, 330 Passaic Street, Passaic, New Jersey. All potential bidders are

invited to attend.

Proposals must be made on the standard Proposal Form provided, accompanied

by a Proposal Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond from a Surety/Bonding Company

licensed and qualified to do business in the State of New Jersey; a Certified Check or

Cashier’s Check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, but not in

excess of $20,000 to insure signing of the contract.

Bidder shall also submit with the bid a Certificate of Surety from a Surety

Company licensed and qualified to do business in the State of New Jersey, stating that it

will provide the contractor with a Performance Bond in the total amount of price bid.
