Bid Advertisement 2025 Utility Project

RECEIPT OF BIDS: Separate sealed BIDS or Electronic Submittal using Bidnet Direct for the construction 2025 Utillity Project will be received by Taggart Bowen, City Engineer at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, 56 North State, Orem, UT 84057, or opened electronically on Bidnet Direct until May 28, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The preferred method for submitting a bid is by using Bidnet Direct at bidnetdirect.com (Select the search bar > > enter “City of Orem” > Enter).

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on May 14, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., in the Community Development Ponderosa Conference Room, located at 56 North State Street, Orem Utah, 84057.

OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained May 7, 2025 on Bidnet Direct or at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, Development Services Offices, 56 North State Street, Orem, UT 84057. There is no fee from the City to obtain the documents on Bidnet Direct. There will be a $20 non-refundable fee for a copy of the plans and specification. (An additional $5.00 service charge will be assessed if the plans and specifications are to be mailed).

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The WORK includes the installation of approximately 3,623 linear feet of 8” SDR35 PVC sanitary sewer pipe, 44 sewer lateral connections, 17 sanitary sewer manholes, pipe connections, installation of concrete curb, gutter, sidewalk, drive approach, and concrete flatwork, 2 pretreatments, 2- 60” Ø sumps, 26 linear feet of 12” SDR35 PVC storm drain pipe, cross gutter, asphalt and untreated basecourse, approximately 5,550 linear feet of 8" ductile iron waterline, an 8" waterline loop, 45 new water services, 28-8” gate valves, and 8- fire hydrants assemblies, approximately 60,000 square feet of roadway reconstruction and other improvements. The engineer’s estimate is for the work $3.7 million dollars.

SITE OF WORK: The site of the WORK is located at 725 West & 400 North from 255 North to 400 North, 400 West from 310 North to 400 North, 310 N. from 400 West to 300 West, 200 South from State Street to 200 East, 200 North from State Street to 50 East, and 950 North from 400 East to 800 East.
