Description


Sealed bids for construction of the Benjamin Hawkins Parkway Water System Improvements will be received until Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Byron Municipal Complex, 401 Main Street, Byron, Georgia 31008. The project shall include furnishing all products and performing all labor necessary to construct the following: Installation of +/- 5,600 LF of 12" PVC Water Main, +/- 200 LF of Jack & Bore steel casing under Benjamin Hawkins Parkway, and +/- 150 LF of Jack & Bore steel casing to be bored under Norfolk Southern Right-of-Way along with installation of fire hydrants, gate valves, and all other appurtenances necessary to complete the project in accordance with the specifications and construction drawings. Time allotted for completion of work is 180 consecutive calendar days. This project (EDA Investment No. 04-79-07758) will be partially funded with Federal funds from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration and therefore subject to the Federal laws and regulations associated with that program. All Bidders must comply with 41 CFR 60-4, in regard to affirmative action, to ensure equal opportunity to females and minorities and will apply the timetables and goals set forth in 41 CFR 60-4, as applicable to the area of the project, including existing State public works construction requirements.
