[BENCH: 2021 TEP] MINI-RFP - Systems Engineering for I-880 Optimized Corridor Operations - Phase 2

Project Description: The Metropolitan Transportation Commission invites firms pre-qualified on the 2021 Transportation Engineering and Planning Services Bench (2021 TEP Bench) in Service Category A Freeway Operations, Data Analytics and Performance Assessments to apply for this project.
The selected consultant will develop upon Phase 1’s groundwork by focusing on Systems Engineering to enhance adaptive ramp metering system on I-880 by incorporating additional data sources, such as the express lane system. Emphasizing data sharing and systems integration, Phase 2 will adhere to the systems engineering process through the detailed design stage. The Consultant shall work with MTC, Caltrans, and other stakeholders to establish a concept of operations, define requirements, and design project-level architecture for a user-friendly traveler information dashboard, and system integration of the I-880 Express Lanes with Adaptive Ramp Metering (ARM), utilizing the express lane data as an additional data input to the ARM algorithms for dynamic metering control.
