Project Description: Notice is provided by the Township Secretary that sealed proposals will be received by the Township of Lower Merion for the following:
Belmont Hills Fire Company Exterior Repairs
Contract Number: 26-36-4405
Sealed proposals shall be submitted online via the Pennbid Program (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com).
Proposals will be received until 11 am, prevailing time, November 19, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty as specified in the Instructions to Bidders section of the Bid Document.
A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% are required. Also, a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 25% is required.
Bidders may obtain electronic copies of drawings and specifications of this project, at no cost, on the PennBid website noted above.
A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 4 S Washington Ave, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at 10 am, for all interested Bidders.
In the event of heavy rain / inclement weather, the prebid meeting will be rescheduled to Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at 10 am. A notification to all bidders via PennBid will be posted if the rain date is needed.
Scope of Work
The work includes, but is not limited to, window replacement; stucco repairs; EIFS repairs; expansion joint replacement; sealant replacement; crack repairs; canopy roof replacement; and painting. Award is planned for December 16, 2026 with Construction Notice to Proceed planned for early 2027 pending contract execution.
Detailed specifications developed by Pennoni Associates, Inc. Questions regarding the project scope shall be submitted via the “Messages” feature in PennBid. The last day for receipt of written questions is end of business day of Friday, November 6, 2026.
ATTENTION IS CALLED TO THE FACT THAT NOT LESS THAN THE MINIMUM SALARIES AND WAGES AS SET FORTH IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS MUST BE PAID ON THIS PROJECT, AND THAT THE CONTRACTOR MUST ENSURE THAT EMPLOYEES AND APPLICANTS FOR THE EMPLOYMENT ARE NOT DISCRIMINATED AGAINST BECAUSE OF THEIR, RACE, COLOR, RELIGIOUS CREED, ANCESTRY, AGE, SEX, NATIONAL ORIGIN, PHYSICAL OR MENTAL DISABILITY, OR BECAUSE OF A PERSON'S SEXUAL ORIENTATION, GENDER IDENTITY OR GENDER EXPRESSION.
The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or to waive any informality or irregularity as deemed to the best interest of the Township.
