The Department of Children and Families (Department), Office of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (SAMH), is issuing this solicitation pursuant to section 394.9082, Florida Statutes (F.S.), for the purpose of procuring a Managing Entity for the service area comprised of the following counties:
Central Region: Brevard, Citrus, Hardee, Hernando, Highlands, Lake, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole, and Sumter Counties
Organizations may submit replies that differ from the regional groups identified above. Any such application shall include a justification for why subdividing or expanding the above-described regions is in the best interest of the state. Any such replies will be subject to negotiation and will be evaluated with consideration for how the counties omitted from the proposed service area can be served.
The organization selected as the Managing Entity shall plan, coordinate, and contract for the delivery of substance abuse and mental health services through a comprehensive behavioral health system of care comprised of subcontracted network service providers. Any organization interested in submitting a reply must comply with the terms and conditions described in this Invitation to Negotiate (ITN).
