Response to IFB must be received by 10:30 AM CDT/CST on Thursday, November 21, 2024. Submitter shall acknowledge
receipt of this, and any addendum as stated in the IFB (See Attachment C - Addenda Acknowledgement Form).
This Addendum shall be considered a part of the original Invitation for Bid referenced
above. Except as described below, the original Invitation for Bid document remains
unchanged.
The following questions were submitted by prospective submitters, and are answered as follows:
1. What is the height above grade to the bottom of the video board?
Answer: minimum 10 ft
2. Will the district be supplying a soils report for the area where the boards will be installed?
Answer: No
3. Is the school district responsible for installing the conduit for the fiber optic cable from the press
box to the video board and having a pull string inside?
Answer: Yes, conduit will be provided by the district and a string will be inside.
4. Is the school district supplying power to the structure of the new video board location and
possible new scoreboard location(s)?
Answer: Power will be provided by the district to the structure.
5. Specifically, what are the locations for the video board and scoreboard? (Which end of the
stadium gets video board)
Answer: Carver: Video board on the left endzone, near main entrance; Jackson-Olin where
the current video board is located; Wenonah opposite endzone away from the gym by the
road
6. Does the video board need to integrate with existing scoreboard and what do you want it to
show?
Answer: Yes, it needs to be integrated with the existing board, that provides time, score,
down, distance, possession, yards to go.

7. Are permits required from the City of Birmingham for electrical and structural? City of
Birmingham has already told us yes, so if that is wrong, please provide a letter from the city
stating that.
Answer: Please refer to section 4.15.
8. Are stamped certified structural drawings required for the new video board? Again, this has
been a requirement in the past and if not needed on this project please provide a letter from
the city and/or state stating that.
Answer: Please refer to section 4.15.
9. Is turf and track protection required?
Answer: Yes
10. If the new board locations are going into the turfed area of the field, who is responsible for
cutting the turf and repairing it?
Answer: This is a complete installation; therefore, repairs are the responsibility of the vendor.
11. Will there be 4 play clocks or 2? The clocks that are specified are smaller than standard clocks
which have 30” digits and usually only require one set per field.
Answer: 2 play clocks are required; one set
12. Will the district accept a 10mm display pixel pitch if the physical size exceeds what is currently
being specified?
Answer: Bids may meet or exceed specifications.
13. Can I get a copy of any agenda that has been released to date?
Answer: All agendas are public knowledge and available on the District Board of Education
page.
14. What is the estimated construction budget?
Answer: This information is not available at this time.
15. Can I get a copy of the plan holders list?
Answer: Please see attached list.
