Bay Area Active Transportation and Vision Zero Regional Coordination and Knowledge Sharing - Request for Proposals (RFP)

Project Description: The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) is seeking to hire a consultant to assist MTC with providing jurisdictions with county-focused trainings to help reach the MTC Active Transportation Plan goals of implementing the Active Transportation (AT) Network, the Complete Streets (CS) Policy, and achieving Vision Zero (VZ). The consultant will collaborate with MTC and County Transportation Agencies (CTAs) staff to implement one regional peer exchange and one regional workshop in each county (or sub-region) to help address major regional barriers to implementing All Ages and Abilities (AAA) design on the AT Network and/or the High Injury Network. Further, the consultant team will train jurisdictions on data collection on All Ages and Abilities facilities and develop a communications toolkit(s) for promoting project performance to the public. Finally, the team will develop a regional strategy and roadmap for achieving Vision Zero in the Bay Area.
