Bartram Covered Bridge Timber Truss Repair

Project Description: This is a design/build contract and as such, the Townships’ plans and specifications are conceptual and are intended to provide guidance to complete the proposed work. The bidder is required to carefully examine the proposal, plans, specifications, and project site before submitting a bid. The submission of a bid will be considered proof that the bidder has made such examination and understands the conditions.
Subsurface material information may not necessarily be indicated on the drawings. The Contractor is required to examine and familiarize himself with the site and make such subsurface exploration as he deems necessary in connection with his bid.
Sealed bids for the Bartram Covered Bridge Timber Truss Repair in Newtown Township, Delaware County and Willistown Township, Chester County will be received by the two Townships (herein called “Owners”), with Newtown Township acting as the lead agency.
All bidding documents will be available online at no cost via the PennBid Program (pennbid.bonfirehub.com) beginning at 10:00 a.m. on 7/29/25. All bids received will be opened and immediately available online via the PennBid Program (pennbid.bonfirehub.com) at 1:00 PM, prevailing time on 8/21/25. The Municipalities shall accept or reject bids at a Regular or Special Meeting of the respective Board of Supervisors, duly advertised and open to the public.
All proposals shall be submitted to the Bid titled, “Bartram Covered Bridge Timber Truss Repair” under the number, “Newtown Township, Delaware County”, on PennBid. Each Bid shall include the bidder, bidder’s address, license number (if applicable), and the name of the project for which the Bid is being submitted.
