Proposals will be received until 12 o’clock noon on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, by electronic bid only for a Backup Quicklime Contract Supplier in accordance with specifications now on file in the office of the Director of Public Service and Safety, City of Troy, Ohio.
The electronic bidding for the contract will be handled through the Bid Express service at
www.bidexpress.com
. Bidder must register, set up to bid, and review each solicitation the bidder intends to bid electronically prior to bidding. This bid is to provide the City with a backup supplier for Quicklime to supplement the City’s contract with the City of Dayton, Ohio, for this chemical as needed.
A bid guaranty as follows is required to accompany each proposal as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted a contract will be entered into:

A bid bond in the amount of 100% of the total bid amount for the projects bid, payable to the City of Troy, Ohio, or
-
A certified check, a cashiers’ check, an Official Bank Check, or a letter of credit in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount for the projects bid, payable to the City of Troy, Ohio
The City of Troy reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities in the bids when to the advantage of the City and to select the best bid in its opinion, and to purchase only the quantity of Quicklime as may be needed from the successful bidder. The City of Troy, Ohio is in compliance with ADA.
