Event Description
The purpose of this request for proposal is to engage a vendor who can propose and perform a Quality Assurance Review for the Department of Social Services Baby Ready Program. As of September 1, 2024 the program has 40 Clinics participating, 158 individual practitioners, and 126 recipients. It is anticipated that the number of enrolled providers and recipients will continue to grow as the program is further implemented.
Baby Ready Program Background
The Baby Ready Program is intended to improve maternal health outcomes through enhanced care coordination, services being provided in accordance with standards of care, and reducing barriers to care. Participating providers are eligible for enhanced reimbursement for care coordination and meeting prenatal care and postpartum care program objectives. The first caseload was issued providers on April 1, 2024.

Offerors may email inquiries concerning this RFP to obtain clarification of requirements. No inquiries will be accepted after the date and time indicated in the Schedule of Activities. Inquiries must be emailed to Kirsten Blachford at Kirsten.Blachford@state.sd.us with the subject line RFP13268 Inquiries.
The State will to respond to offeror’s inquiries (if required) via e-mail. In addition, all inquiries and the State’s responses will be posted on the state’s e-procurement system and the DSS website at http://dss.sd.gov/keyresources/rfp.aspx. Offerors may not rely on any other statements, either of a written or oral nature, that alter any specification or other term or condition of this RFP. Offerors will be notified in the same manner as indicated above regarding any modifications to this RFP.
