Description
|
The project intent is to return the historic Lightship Ambrose to her original 1907 in-service appearance. The work will allow reactivation of the lightship as an educational platform in support of the South Street Seaport Museum’s mission. The work will involve transporting the Lightship Ambrose to a qualified shipyard/drydock, stabilization of the hull structure & water proofing, installation of a new composite wood deck, restoration of the deck houses, masts, rehabilitation of portlights, installation of new climate control & monitoring systems and various other improvements throughout the vessel. The vessel will be towed back to the pier after completion.
Project # PV394AMBR / EPIN: 85026B0073 Late Bids Will Not Be Accepted. There will be an optional pre-bid conference. Details will be provided in the PASSPort procurement. This contract is subject to Special Experience Requirements. *This project is subject to HireNYC* This Competitive Sealed Bid (CSB) is being released throughout PASSPort, New York City’s online procurement portal.
